| In addition to the beautiful gardens, Azalea Park now has a large playground for children called Kidtown. During the month of May, 1994, a team of volunteers constructed Kidtown in the northwest corner of Azalea Park. The wooden structure, featuring turrets, slides, tunnels and swings, rose quickly as 1400-1600 volunteers turned out to build it over a five day construction period. Adult supervision is encouraged while children are at play. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Azalea Park can be reserved for your special event. It has hosted weddings, concerts, birthday parties, class and family reunions and just about every occasion where people want to gather in an outdoor setting. The Capella by the Sea can also be rented for special occasions, like intimate weddings, christenings or memorials. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
